Dina Meyer is a New York native who was born within Forest Hills Queens. She made the move from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island just before she finished her senior high school. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her elder brother as well as Evan. Her first experience in the entertainment industry came as she was modeling from ages nine to sixteen. She started her acting training at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied the acting skills of Sanford Meisner along alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors to receive this kind of education. The first role she acted in was in Beverly Hills 90210. This meant she had to move out into Los Angeles. The role was as the leading lady in Johnny Mnemonic in which she did almost every stunt herself, and established her skills as an actor.
